The rectangular unstiched format of the Sari allows for individual creativity while wearing. There are as many different techniques of wearing a Sari as there are different ways to make a Sari.

The most common style of wearing is the "Nivi" style. Some of the other styles are the "Dhoti" and the "Seedha palla". These days, Saris are worn over two other pieces of garments(see me wearing them), which weren't used in the earlier days.
